I can't believe how much hotels in Tibet have improved in just one year! I was surprised to see how much roadside hotels in small towns in Tibet have improved in just one year. The biggest thing I noticed on this road trip was that many new hotels opened in Tibet in 2024. The area is remote, cold, and at a high altitude, but these new hotels can make your trip to Tibet much more comfortable. . For example, this hotel is located on the side of National Highway 318 in the little-known town of Zuogong. The price is reasonable, but the experience was beyond my expectations. . The hotel is a standalone building with its own courtyard. The parking lot is spacious and has four charging stations. There's a gas station next door, so the location is very convenient for road trips on National Highway 318. . The lobby is spacious and bright. The stone and lighting at the front desk are very high-end, and the furniture in the lounge area is quite stylish. . The room was beyond my expectations. It was bright and spacious with a river view. There were even two bathrobes! You usually only see this at luxury hotels like JW Marriott. . The underfloor heating was great. There was a professional oxygen machine, humidifier, and smart home system. There was a chaise lounge by the window, Chinese tea set, and even a welcome fruit plate. . The toilet was semi-automatic, and the shower was good. This is a great hotel for a small town in Tibet, especially at an altitude of 3,900 meters in Zuogong. It was very comfortable. . Breakfast included a few stir-fried dishes, fried eggs, shumai, and steamed buns. Many hotels in high-altitude areas don't have noodle stations, which is understandable. I was full.
