Beijing's "Little Switzerland" Summer Resort/Watch the Milky Way, Meteors, Clouds and Sunset

One of my favorite hiking routes is through Beiling. High altitude and large alpine meadows make it one of the most popular routes in the suburbs of Beijing in summer. However, the Beiling Mountain route has different intensities. Which one should you choose? 🚶‍♂️1️⃣Route (1): Jiulongwa-Beiling Mountain-Huangcaoliang-Boyu🌟Route Intensity: The whole journey is about 18Km, with a climb of 700m and a descent of 1400m 🌠Route features: The most classic crossing route in Beiling Mountain. It is slightly more intense and is a beginner-advanced route. It is not recommended for novices and outdoor novices to try. The roads are mainly gravel roads. There are two steep slopes up and down. There is a 10 yuan entrance fee. The first section of the climb: the starting point - the top of Beiling Mountain is a climb. There is a small section of tree-lined paths. There is no shade in the meadow, so sun protection is required. The top of the mountain - Huangcaoliang, mainly descends. The first section is steep, and it will be slippery if it rains, making it easy to fall. Huang Caoliang - solid building, is the ascending road, which is relatively slow. But it takes some effort. Solid Building - Baiyu, the descending section is basically walking in the valley, and the slope is not small. If you have bad knees, I don’t recommend taking this route. In addition, this route has forks, so it is easy to get lost without using the track. 2️⃣Route (2): Jiulongwa-Beiling Mountain-Jiulongwa Route intensity: The total distance is about 8km, with an ascent and descent of 350m. Route Features: The most beautiful section of the route through Beiling Mountain, with the highest point of Beiling Mountain as the turning point, suitable for novices, or friends who want to play more and enjoy the scenery on Jiucai Slope. This is also the regular route for camping in Beiling Mountain. The entrance fee is 10 yuan. 3️⃣Route (3): Kumbum Temple Village - Beiling Mountain - Kumbum Temple Village @Route Intensity: The whole journey is about 11km, with an ascent and descent of 800m Features of the route: The climb is slightly larger, similar to the 18-kilometer classic route. There are more gravels at the beginning and end of the road, and the middle section has a gentle slope that rises. The road conditions are better than before. There is no entrance fee to the mountain. Novices who have enough physical strength can also walk. (Self-driving can take this route, non-self-driving can end at Jiangshuihe Village) 4️⃣Route (4): Jiulongwa - Beiling Mountain - Baimugou - Jiangshuihe Village Route intensity: The total distance is about 18km, with a climb of about 900m. Features of the route: The mileage and difficulty are similar to the route to Baiyu. It goes up to Jiulongwa and down to Baimugou. The road conditions are similar to those to Baiyu. The second half is a highway. If you want to avoid taking the road, you can only go to Baimugou, which is about 15 kilometers. . This is an advanced route, not recommended for novices.
