Jintai Temple in Huangyang - A Scenic Triumph

Jintai Temple is located at Huangyang Mountain in Doumen District, Zhuhai City, and is one of the 'Eight Sights of Huangyang'. According to legend, after the naval battle of Yamen during the Song-Yuan dynasties, the Southern Song Prime Minister Lu Xiufu carried the young Emperor Zhao Bing to his death at sea. After breaking through the enemy lines, General Zhang Shijie's boat capsized in the South China Sea, and his body floated to the foot of Huangyang Mountain, where it was buried by local villagers. Later, some surviving officials of the Southern Song Dynasty built the 'Golden Terrace Hermitage' on Huangyang Mountain to avoid being pursued by Yuan soldiers, which is the origin of Jintai Temple. The temple was reconstructed in the 1990s. After a clearing rain, we gazed at Jintai Temple from a distance, where the mountain and the Buddha seemed to rely on each other, presenting a myriad of magnificent scenes. Climbing up to the high temple to look down at the reservoir below, the water was clear and blue, the waves glistening, evoking a profound sense of purification and renewal.
