🌅 A Weekend Getaway to the Secret Realm of Gouqi Island: Two Days and One Night of Non-Conformist Fun! 🗺 Itinerary: 🔵 Day 1: Depart from Shanghai Nanpu Bridge Bus Station in the early morning to Shenjiawan Bus Station, then take a direct ferry to Gouqi Island. Upon arrival, head straight to Dawang Beach, stroll to the Shanhai Qiguan Cliff Carvings in the afternoon, and relax at Longquan Beach in the evening before climbing to the Ganxie Viewing Platform to watch the sunset. 🔵 Day 2: Sunrise at Dongya Cliff and Exploring the Abandoned Village. In the early morning, head to Dongya Cliff to greet the sunrise, then take a nap before visiting the abandoned village of Shengshan, enjoying the thrill of exploration. 🏞 Recommended Attractions: - Dawang Beach🏖️: Fine sand and clear water, a top choice for summer cooling, but the 25 RMB ticket is quite expensive. - Shanhai Qiguan Cliff Carvings: A blend of nature and culture, perfect for wasting an afternoon at a nearby café. - Longquan Beach: Located just below Shanhai Qiguan, this beach is free but not very clean, with lots of trash. Good for a casual visit, and there's a pier nearby for sea fishing. - Ganxie Viewing Platform: Check the sunset time in advance, arrive early to get the best spot, and enjoy the spectacular orange sunset and sea view. - Dongya Cliff: The best place to watch the sunrise, with golden sunlight spreading over the sea. However, check the weather in advance; we didn't see a perfect sunrise this time. The 50 RMB ticket is also quite a rip-off. - Shengshan Abandoned Village: Abandoned houses covered in greenery, full of adventure fun. It's very hot now, and climbing up and down the mountain can easily cause heatstroke, so be sure to take precautions. The 60 RMB ticket is also quite a rip-off. 🍜 Food Recommendations: Sanmao Noodle House (Shengshan Island), Yiwanyixian (Gouqi Island). The weather is too hot, so everyone prefers simple meals. We chose these two noodle houses, and they were both okay. 🏨 Accommodation Options: To watch the sunrise, we stayed at Wenhai Villa near Dongya Cliff on Shengshan Island. It's about a ten-minute walk to Dongya Cliff. We rented an entire villa, and the hostess was very hospitable. Dinner can also be arranged. 🚗 Transportation: Depart from the side of Shanghai Nanpu Bridge and take the earliest ferry directly to Gouqi Island. Tickets can be purchased on the Shengsi Passenger Transport WeChat public account. The transportation options from Shanghai to Gouqi Island are as follows: High-speed ferry: fast, about 2 hours; Passenger roll-on/roll-off ship: allows vehicles, about 3 hours and 30 minutes. On the island: Taxis, generally costing 30-60 RMB depending on the distance. We took a taxi from Gouqi to Shengshan Island for 80 RMB.
