Yupo Village was established in the Northern Song Dynasty and has a history of over 900 years. During the Yuanfeng period of the Song Dynasty, the founder of Yupo Village, Liao Zhizheng, was demoted from Jinxixian, Jiangxi to Longping County (the predecessor of Zhaoping County), Guangxi. After retiring, he lived in seclusion in Yupo Village (under the jurisdiction of Zhaoping County). The village was built under Leigong Mountain during the Song Dynasty. In the middle of the Yuan Dynasty, due to a dispute between the servant of the fifth ancestor of the Liao family and the Chima Yi Zhuang, the Liao family in Yupo moved to Guilin. In the early Ming Dynasty, his sixth ancestor, Liao Luchang, led the army back to his hometown to suppress the Yao uprising, returned to Yupo, and returned to his hometown. After the Ming Dynasty, the village was built under Santai Mountain. During the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Ping Le Fu. In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, some of the population moved to Zhushan, and in the middle and late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, a considerable number of families moved to Yuxi due to social unrest. In the fifth year of the Republic of China (1916), Zhongshan County was established and was under the jurisdiction of Zhongshan County. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Yantang Township, Zhongshan County. Yupo is located in the mountains of karst landforms, with mountains stretching on the east, west, and south sides. It is composed of Yudong and Yuxi, and the layout is a grid layout, inheriting the layout characteristics of traditional northern Guangxi residential buildings. Because the village is tall and deep, the village is as solid as a fortress, and it is known as "Little Nanjing". Among them, Enrong Paifang is one of the famous ancient buildings in Guangxi.
