Find peace of mind at Zhan Garden in Zhongshan

Zhan Garden is located in the southern district of Zhongshan City. Known as the "largest private classical garden in Lingnan," it was built in 1998. I was curious about why this young classical garden was built. Why is a private garden open to the public? Can we experience a classical feeling here? With these questions in mind, I visited Zhan Garden. I was shocked to learn that the owner of Zhan Garden, Huang Yuanxin, built the garden to repay his mother for raising him and to create a "simple and elegant, peaceful and refined" place for her to live out her days. Later, to let more people experience his filial piety, the garden was opened to the public. It is now a national 4A-level tourist attraction. I was moved to learn that Mr. Huang personally designed the garden, recruited 100 skilled craftsmen from Suzhou, and spent five years building it. He named the garden after his mother's surname. I was delighted to find that the 33 attractions, including the gate, each have their own unique characteristics. At one moment, I was immersed in classical culture, and the next, I felt like I was in a water town in Jiangnan. At one moment, I felt like I was in a classical garden, and the next, I felt like I was back in Lingnan. When you visit, you will immediately feel calm and relaxed. It is very healing. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would have liked to lie down and relax for a while.
