Huangguoshu Water Stone Forest: A Natural Wonder Carved by Wind and Water

🏞️ The renowned Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area is home to a stunning water stone forest, located about 6 km downstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall. While a bit further from the main falls, it's part of the Tianxingqiao Scenic Area. 🏡 Prepare to be amazed! This area is filled with picturesque scenery at every turn. The exquisite natural landscapes are entirely naturally formed, offering a refreshing and delightful walking experience. The beauty intensifies as you explore, with the highlights of Tianxingqiao Scenic Area concentrated in the latter half. 🙋 Main Attractions: 1️⃣ Vast bonsai landscapes carved by wind and water, resembling ancient masterpieces painted with roots, vines, and natural pigments. Compared to the Stone Forest in Yunnan, the Tianxingqiao Water Stone Forest stands out for its unique water features, showcasing nature's artistry with water. 2️⃣ The water stone forest features jagged rocks, with stones rising from the water, water flowing through the stones, and trees growing atop the stones. This is a masterpiece of karst topography. 3️⃣ The water meanders through the area, with stone forests scattered across the water's surface. The river flows in and out of sight among the stone peaks, trenches, walls, and crevices. Cacti, small shrubs, and various flowers and plants thrive among the stones, creating a vibrant display of life against the cold stone backdrop. 🎫 Tickets: Included in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area ticket (CNY 160). 📍 Location: Inside Tianxingqiao Scenic Area, Guanling Buyei and Miao Autonomous County, Anshun City. The recommended visiting order is Doupotang → Tianxingqiao → Grand Waterfall to minimize backtracking and shuttle bus rides. ‼️ Tips: 🚶‍♀️ Allow at least 3 hours to fully explore Tianxingqiao Scenic Area. The latter half, featuring the beautiful water stone forest, is the highlight and shouldn't be missed. Don't exit the scenic area from Tianxing Lake midway, as re-entry is not permitted. 🚡 A cable car is available in the latter half of Tianxingqiao Scenic Area for CNY 10/person. The walk takes about 30 minutes, but considering the potential fatigue after exploring the first half, the cable car is a worthwhile investment.
