Beigu Mountain

Located in Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, Beigu Mountain is renowned for its Three Kingdoms history. The suggested route includes the entrance to the Sword Testing Stone, the Eastern Wu Ancient Road and Ganlu Temple, the Iron Pagoda and the "Best Scenery Under Heaven" stone inscription, Beigu Tower, and Duojing Tower. The mountain's name, meaning "northern fortress," comes from its strategic location overlooking the Yangtze River. Emperor Wu of Liang once visited and renamed it Beigu Mountain due to its impressive terrain. Its steep slopes and rich history attract numerous visitors. 🕙Opening hours: 8:30am–4:30pm. 🚉Transportation: Take bus routes 4, 8, or 112 to "Ganlu Temple" station, then walk about 5 mins. ⏳Suggested duration: Approx. 2 hrs. Tickets are CNY 30 per person. 🧳Preparation: Wear comfortable shoes, preferably hiking or sports shoes, as the mountain paths are uneven. Bring a hat and sunscreen for protection.
