Visit Jinshan Temple with Qing

Jinshan Temple, also known as Jiangtian Temple and Jiangtian Zen Temple, was formerly known as Zexin Temple and Longyou Temple. It is located at No. 62 Jinshan Road, Runzhou District, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province. It is located in the northwest of Zhenjiang City, on Jinshan Mountain and in Jinshan Park. The temple is 44 meters high and has a circumference of 520 meters. It is listed as one of the four famous temples in China, along with Putuo Temple, Wenshu Temple and Daming Temple. Jinshan Temple was first built during the reign of Emperor Ming of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (325 AD). It was originally named Zexin Temple and was renamed "Jiangtian Temple" by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. It is the birthplace of the "Water and Land Ceremony", an important ritual of Chinese Buddhism. Fahai Cave: The cave where the Tang Dynasty monk Fahai practiced and worshipped the Ming Dynasty Stone statue of Fahai. ‌Main Hall‌: The core building of the temple, enshrining the Three Buddhas and the Eighteen Arhats. ‌Jiangtian Yilan Pavilion‌: A good place to enjoy the river view. ‌Bailong Cave‌: Legend has it that a narrow crevice in the rock leads directly to the West Lake in Hangzhou, and there are statues of White Snake and Xiaoqing at the entrance of the cave. ‌Miaogaotai‌: Su Shi once admired the moon and wrote poems here. There is a guqin-accompanied-moon activity on Mid-Autumn Night.
