Zhaoqing Memories

Departing from Foshan to Zhaoqing Duanzhou, the light rail round trip is quite convenient 🌵 (Foshan West Station—Zhaoqing Station). This time I didn’t go to Dinghu Mountain! I’ll check it out next time~ 1. About Tickets: Bought an annual pass (100💰, valid for both Seven Star Crags and Dinghu Mountain, valid for one year) 2. About Attractions: 1. North Gate of Seven Star Crags to see the cedar trees. The staggered cedar trees form a green patch, really good for the eyes; there are also willow trees by the lake, very photogenic too. 2. Zhongheng Forest. There’s a large lawn here, saw many people camping; there’s also a so-called “crooked neck tree” where a few kids climbed up, and some pretty girls were taking photos of each other 🤳 3. Zijing West Embankment. This is a cultural street area, bought a fridge magnet here; it’s basically a snack street, the lakeside night view is beautiful, and there’s street live music 🎵 4. Seven Star Crags Archway. You can see the musical fountain in this square. Personally, I think it’s worth seeing. If you’re tired from walking, you can sit here and enjoy this “water fireworks” show 🎆 5. Song City Arcade Street. The night view here is quite nice, with a strong sense of history. Many shops are closed at night, so it’s good for a stroll after dinner, but if you want to check in specifically, I recommend going during the day 🎞 6. Shuiyue East Embankment. Located at the south gate of Seven Star Crags, mainly wanted to see the night view version. This stunning spot was discovered by locals, and she insisted I see and photograph it haha~ Planned a night climb to Yuping Rock, but I felt my “battery” was insufficient 🪫, so I didn’t climb, just enjoyed the night view 🌃 7. Tianzhu Rock, Star Picking Pavilion, Iron Chain Bridge, Goldfish Pond, Longyan Cave, Xinhu Bamboo Raft, and Red Lotus Bridge, etc. You can see and experience all these attractions at the east gate of Seven Star Crags 🧸 Tianzhu Rock is really steep, and the stairs are narrow, giving a strong sense of weaving through. Tianzhu Rock is one of the highest peaks of Seven Star Crags, about 113 meters tall, and the Star Picking Pavilion is on top of it. 8. Song City Wall and Museum. The museum is right behind the Song City Wall. I didn’t go in, too tired. 3. About Food. Ate at a beautiful restaurant with a nice environment 💙 1. Shuyi chose a nicely decorated restaurant (Moon Moon), serving Thai food. Like Tom Yum soup, sour and spicy flavors. Ordered pineapple fried rice (with pineapple, shrimp, and green beans), quite a large portion; charcoal-grilled pork neck (served with two dipping sauces, sweet and sour and cumin) and Tom Yum soup, my shorthand; the creamy cheese shrimp was sold out, so didn’t get to try it. 2. Ate foie gras eel sushi rice (Feixie Banqian Tea & Coffee), this place has drip high cheese, located opposite Chang Dachang, on the first floor. The dishes are exquisite, delicious, and photogenic, very good. After eating, you can go out the back to see the lake view. 3. For breakfast, went to a long-established shop. Ordered rice rolls, pan-fried dumplings, and salted bone congee (with preserved vegetables inside, my first time trying it). Usually, I eat preserved vegetable congee which is just preserved vegetable congee, and salted bone congee is just salted bone congee... 🍠 Above is my relaxed two-day weekend trip sharing~ Zhaoqing Duanzhou
