Piyun Tower

Guangdong's thousand-year-old Song Dynasty ancient city wall offers a zero-cost, quaint photography spot right here, where it feels as if time has reversed, immersing oneself in the long river of history. The wall still retains bricks from the Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, and the Republic of China periods, and can be called a brick museum. It is also the only one in Guangdong, and one of the rare examples in the country with a relatively complete main body and surrounding city wall from the Song Dynasty. Walking along, one arrives at Piyun Tower. What we see today is not the original structure but a modern imitation ancient building constructed in 1989. This imitation ancient building is majestic and magnificent, making me feel as if I am in the midst of ancient glory. Piyun Tower also offers free access to climb and look into the distance. Every city wall has its unique charm and history. These buildings carry the memories of their respective hometowns, making us love and cherish this land even more.
