Longhai Shima｜Hougang Ancient Street & Yuegang Ancient Town are indistinguishable || Zhangzhou Longhai is worth a day trip! 【Hougang Ancient Street】 Not in Jiangnan, but with the graceful beauty of Minnan ancient houses + Jiangnan water town. 📌This place is near Shima Old Street, about 40 minutes drive from Xiamen Xinglin. 🅿️Free parking is available on the roadside near the community. 🕢Around 7pm, there will be lights + smoke, and the ancient street at night will have the charm of Jiangnan small bridges and flowing water. Further inside, there is a red wall with artificial snowfall at irregular intervals, and there is also a water curtain performance in the second phase of the square. You can eat snacks while strolling, and it takes about half an hour to visit the whole place. 📌In Haicheng Town, about half an hour drive from Shima. Yuegang Ancient Town is known as the No. 1 Port of the Great Ming Dynasty. As soon as you enter the village, there is a beautiful "Guanyin Temple". Walking on the ancient street, every household has two red lanterns hanging in front of the door, and there is a "lattice curtain" facing the main entrance. People in the house can see outside through the curtain, but people outside cannot see inside, reflecting the Confucian concept of "distinction between inside and outside". It is said that the "Zhuzi Curtain" was promoted by Zhu Xi when he was the prefect of Zhangzhou, and it is still quite primitive.
