Over 3,000 vertical limestone pillars covered in dense forest. For the best photos and walks, visit early in the morning when the mist rises from the valleys, creating a 'floating' effect. Mini-buses operate within the park, taking you from one spot to another. Tianmen Mountain Another legendary mountain near the city of Zhangjiajie. Famous for the 'Heavenly Gate' (天门洞) — a natural arch in the rock, 131.5 meters high. Also features one of the longest cable cars in the world. 🏨 Where to Stay The city of Zhangjiajie is a convenient base for the park and the Tianmen Mountain cable car.
