Traveling to Zhangjiajie in January? Be prepared!

We originally planned to visit Zhangjiajie for the rime, but unfortunately, there was little rime left when we arrived. 😢 However, we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of Zhangjiajie in the off-season! Fewer people and beautiful scenery! 🎉 As a southerner, I finally fulfilled my dream of playing in the snow at Qixing Mountain Ski Resort. Now, let me share our amazing itinerary with you. If you want to visit Zhangjiajie in winter, save this post! ✨ 🗺️ Itinerary: 🛫 Arrive in Zhangjiajie. Flying is the fastest way to get there! We booked a tour in advance, so airport transfers, transportation, and accommodation were all arranged for us. We checked into a nice hotel, enjoyed the famous local dish Sanxia pot, and had a good rest to prepare for our trip to Tianmen Mountain the next day! 📍 Tianmen Mountain: We recommend spending a day here. There are three routes to choose from: Route A: Take the cable car up the mountain and the express cable car down the mountain. Enjoy the scenery with ease! Route B: Take the express cable car up the mountain and the cable car down the mountain. Enjoy the challenge of climbing! Route C: Take the express cable car up and down the mountain. A bit tiring, but worth it! 🌟 Personal recommendation: Route A is the best choice! Easy to go up, relaxing to go down, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery! 📍 Zhangjiajie National Forest Park: We recommend spending two days here. The itinerary is as follows: Day 1️⃣: East Gate - Bailong Elevator - Yuanjiajie - Yangjiajie - Tianzi Mountain - Tianzi Mountain Cableway - East Gate Day 2️⃣: East Gate - Ten-mile Gallery - Golden Whip Stream - Huangshi Village - Oxygen Bar Square - South Gate 📍 Qixing Mountain Ski Resort: A hidden gem! Go skiing early in the morning when there are fewer people and more snow. It feels like you have the whole ski resort to yourself! The ski resort is easily accessible from the Qixing Mountain Cableway entrance! 💡 Tips: 1️⃣ Be sure to get a seat by the glass window on the Bailong Elevator, or it's not worth it! 2️⃣ There are eco-friendly buses throughout the park. If you get carsick, remember to bring medicine! 3️⃣ There are many monkeys on the mountain. Keep your distance to avoid being scratched! 💥 Reminders: 1️⃣ If you want to see the rime, check the weather forecast and plan your trip in advance! 2️⃣ Remember to book tickets for Tianmen Mountain and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park online in advance! Students should bring their student ID to enjoy discounts! 3️⃣ The temperature difference between the top and bottom of the mountain is large. Remember to keep warm and wear non-slip shoes! 🧥🥾
