TeamLab Planets: can’t miss attraction

I visited Teamlab Planets in Tokyo in 2019 and although the exhibition is still pretty similar apart from 2 new room additions, it was still worth re-visiting 3 years later. Tickets need to be pre-booked in advance. They were sold out for 3 weeks when we looked at buying tickets but we checked last minute and some people must have canceled their tickets as there were a few available the night before. So if they’re sold out during your dates I’d still recommend checking to see if there’s been any cancelations. Tickets cost 3800 yen / $38 and you are allocated a time slot to arrive. TeamLab Planets is an immersive experience. You start by taking your shoes off and leave your bag and belongings in a locker. You can carry your phone and a camera. You’ll get a wrist band with the key for your locker, which is free. You’ll then walk through water for the first room, you get provided with towels to dry your feet. Another room you’ll be in water mid calf height, so dress accordingly, clothing that you can roll up to your knees. Several of the rooms also have mirrored floors, so women will want to be cautious about wearing short skirts, however there are free shorts you can rent. #tokyo
