The large snowy valley of Mt. Chokai in early summer

There are many famous snowfields in high mountains in Japan. The snowfield of Mt. Chokai is one of them. Despite it being early summer, there is still a lot of snow remaining, and a cool air is in the air. You can walk through this snowfield, but be sure to use chain spikes or light crampons. There are also traces of fallen rocks and holes here and there, so we recommend that you basically follow the trail.
