Yuhu Village, Lijiang, Yunnan | A thousand-year-old village at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

Yuhu Village is the birthplace of Naxi culture, a thousand-year-old village built of glacial stones. The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is the most beautiful here! The snow-capped mountains and stone houses on both sides are visible, as if walking in a fairy tale world. The village is not commercialized yet. There are only a few aunties selling fruits and capes at the drop-off point. If you go inside, you can only see food (baked potatoes, corn, ear cubes, beef skewers). There are relatively few shops in the village, but more are homestays. There are a few coffee shops where you can see the snow-capped mountains. If you want to take pictures, you can make some suggestions. The one I went to had a street view (it had its back to the snow-capped mountains). It is recommended that you go upstairs to see if there are any vacancies before ordering. It takes about 5 minutes to drive from Changshou Pavilion (the boarding point) to Longnu Lake. You can see the big lawn as soon as you get off the bus. Although it is at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, it is not really cold when the sun comes out, so don’t worry, haha. There are so many 🐮🐶 here, and they are all eating grass very seriously, but we should not get too close when taking pictures!
