Yufuin One Day Trip

Yufuin is a charming hot spring town located in Fukuoka Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan, famous for its natural scenery, traditional architecture and hot spring culture. Each season in Yufuin has its own characteristics: cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, fiery red leaves in autumn, and a world of silver in winter. The hot springs here are highly regarded for the purity of their waters and their therapeutic properties, providing a space for travelers to relax and enjoy themselves. A large number of Japanese-style buildings are preserved on the streets of the town, making people feel as if they are in Japan's past, full of cultural and historical atmosphere. Yufuin's cuisine is also one of its charms, from traditional Japanese food to local sweets, such as Yufuin Milch's pudding, half-baked cheesecake, and Kinsho croquettes, all of which are delicacies not to be missed. In addition, there are many food stalls and restaurants in Yufuin that offer a wide variety of food, allowing visitors to taste it while walking. Although you cannot eat while walking, the store clerks will guide you to designated locations to enjoy it. Kinrin Lake is a major highlight here, especially in autumn and winter, when the lake surface will produce mist due to the temperature difference, adding a sense of mystery. There is also a legend of a dragon in the lake, making this place not only a visual enjoyment, but also a good place to relax the mind. YUFUIN FLORAL VILLAGE is another fantastic attraction. Although small, the park is exquisite. With various themed buildings and animal decorations, visitors feel as if they have entered a fairy tale world. It is a great place to take photos and relax. Our trip to Yufuin started with leaving Canal City Fukuoka Washington Hotel at 7am and taking the express train to Hakata Station, where we enjoyed the beautiful cherry blossom scenery along the way. Although we didn't get to book the Yufuin-no-Mori train, we still enjoyed a day full of delicious food, beautiful scenery, and fun. On the return trip, although I went to queue for free seats early, I found that I didn’t have to worry about seats and I could still enjoy the scenery along the way. Yufuin is not only a great place to relax, but also a great place to explore Japanese culture, enjoy food and art, and it will bring an unforgettable journey no matter when you visit.
