【Yufuin Contemporary Art Museum by Reservation】

If you like to see art in Yufuin, you can visit the Contemporary Art Museum, which is open by reservation. COMICO ART MUSEUM was designed by Kengo Kuma. The black-based exterior design blends harmoniously with nature. Please note that photography is only allowed in certain areas of the museum. The museum exhibits works by Yayoi Kusama and Takashi Murakami. Although I don’t know the artists of some other exhibits, I still feel a different experience when I look at them. In the external corridors connecting the different exhibition spaces, you can enjoy the scenery that combines light, water and wind. In the outdoor exhibition area, the works use nature as the background, and with the change of seasons, they form different works of art. For example, Yoshitomo Nara's white puppy has Mount Yufu as its background. There is a rest area on the second floor, and some related books are provided for visitors to read. The museum also offers a free postcard for those who post photos on social media (´∀｀) . .
