🌠✨Never in my wildest dreams did I think that in the small city of Yueyang, Hunan, there would be a beautiful cluster of Western-style buildings. These buildings were built in the late Qing Dynasty, over 120 years ago, and it was once one of the earliest universities in Hunan. 🏞✨Nowadays, the university's appearance is long gone. You can't hear the sound of students studying, nor see the diligent students. Only a few solitary Western-style buildings stand by the side of Dongting Lake. 🏞✨The campus buildings are roughly divided into three levels according to the mountain's terrain. The main teaching area and the main concentration of buildings are at the top of the mountain. Walking along the long tree-lined paths on the edge of the mountain top, the sound of the blue brick road creaking underfoot, the deeper you go into the lakeside university, the stronger the retro feeling becomes. Coupled with the sunlight filtering through the towering ancient trees, leaving a mottled light and shadow on the ground, it feels like traveling from reality into a movie. 🌆✨The afternoon sun shines on these retro old houses, filling these century-old buildings with a warm feeling. These old houses with Chinese roofs and Western walls are typical representatives of the combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles, and they are rare and precious old buildings in the whole of Hunan. 🏞✨Many of them are typical European-style buildings, mostly villa-style small foreign houses. If you look closely, you will find that these Western-style buildings also have some Chinese elements mixed in. You can see Chinese styles in the large corridors and archways. 🏡✨Although this university has a history of a hundred years, it only truly existed for seven years. For the rest of the time, it was constantly reorganized and split into other schools. Walking among the ancient buildings, you can see the ancient and solemn architecture and feel the sediment of time polished by the years.
