Clifford's Tower, York

#uktrip I recently visited the castle wall ruins, and while it was an interesting experience, I found it to be quite overpriced. The site offers a beautiful view of the city, which was definitely a highlight, and it made for a nice family outing. Walking along the historic ruins and seeing the old buildings was enjoyable, and the atmosphere was peaceful. However, I was disappointed by the cost of the tickets. For the price, there wasn’t much to do, and I expected more for the amount paid. Additionally, the donation request at the ticket counter felt quite aggressive, which made the experience a little uncomfortable. While I appreciate the importance of preserving historical sites, I believe the pricing should better reflect what is offered. Overall, it was nice to see the ruins once, but due to the high ticket prices and limited activities, I wouldn’t visit again.
