Romantic Tour of York's Ancient City

York is a city where modern buildings are rarely seen. Many buildings, city walls, and churches are remnants from the medieval period, giving the city a rich historical atmosphere. The city center is easily walkable. The first stop is York Minster, located in the heart of York. Most of the walls were built during the medieval period and are now a Grade I listed building in the UK. There are stairs by the gates where you can climb up to the walls and overlook the city of York, or you can take a walk along the ancient walls.
