The entire structure of the pagoda is made entirely of wood without using a single iron nail. It is known as the "Museum of Chinese Ancient Architecture's Dougong" and is the oldest and tallest wooden pagoda in the world. It is known along with the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and the Eiffel Tower in Paris as the "Three Great Towers of the World." It is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the tallest wooden pagoda in the world. The Shakyamuni Pagoda is 67.31 meters high, with a base diameter of 30.27 meters, and has an octagonal plane. The entire pagoda used 3,000 cubic meters of red pine wood, weighing over 2,600 tons. Inside the pagoda, two relics of the Shakyamuni Buddha's teeth are enshrined. Due to war damage, the pagoda leans 65 centimeters to the northeast, with a tilt angle exceeding that of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, reaching a maximum tilt angle of 11.3 degrees.
