We made an appointment with a surfing veteran friend and went to the beach to play in the water! This time we went to Waiao Beach in Wushi Harbor, Yilan. After a simple lunch, we headed to Wushigang Beach, which is about a 5-10 minute walk from the drop-off point. Arriving at "Wai'ao Beach", you can see a large stretch of beach, blue ocean, and super blue sky, which makes people feel happy! There are many shops at Waiao Beach that rent out surfboards, umbrella stands, seats, showers, etc. My surfing veteran recommended one of them to me, the "Blue Ocean Surfing" with great value for money. You can rent a surfboard and get an umbrella stand seat + free shower!! I don't think you need to bring too much or too expensive luggage, because the luggage can only be placed on the umbrella stand seat. One thing worth praising about Taiwan is that there are far fewer third hands in Taiwan than in foreign countries, so you don't have to worry too much about your luggage being stolen. There is a river bank next to Waiao Beach, where you can take a panoramic view of the beach. You can take photos first and then take a shower. Be careful on the river bank because it is really high!! After packing your luggage, return the board to the boss, who will give you a "shower roll". With this roll, you can take a shower at "Blue Ocean Surf Shop 2"! After passing the beach and walking into the grove, you will come out to the second surf shop. You can hand the roll to the counter and then queue up to take a shower. The water is cold, so those who are afraid of cold should be mentally prepared. There is also a hair dryer. After a quick shower, you can head to the Wushi Port Transfer Station, which is a little further from where you get off the bus. You can get a number plate at the transfer station first.
