Bamboo Hotel - Jiangxi Yunfuli Yunshu Hot Spring Hotel.

Yunfuli Yunshu Hot Spring Hotel is located in Hongjiang Town, Yichun, about 30 kilometers away from the city. It is backed by Mingyue Mountain Scenic Area and Yangshan Zen Temple, surrounded by mountains. The project site covers an area of 11,377.78 square meters, which is a small mountain nest on the north slope with a horn-shaped opening. It is a typical southern hilly terrain with mountains on three sides and dense bamboo forests. The north side is adjacent to the flood control municipal road and public wetland park, which is the only opening direction and display surface. The base is high in the south and low in the north, with a maximum height difference of 40 meters, steep terrain, and an average slope of about 27.1%. After fully interpreting the topographic conditions, landscape value, and convenient transportation, three functional divisions are set up: the reception, restaurant and other public facilities are placed on the middle slope along the road on the north side, and the outdoor swimming pool activity area that connects the upper and lower flow lines is placed in the center. The steep slope, the high area on the south side is scattered with hotel rooms that focus on privacy and vacation. From north to south, it presents a change from public to private, from large space to small scale. The construction of mountain buildings is different from urban projects and needs to respond to changes in the site. Building along the trend is the design principle of the hotel area. Through the means of bottom floor overhead and three-dimensional traffic to adapt to the changes in the terrain, the use of rammed earth and other simple materials to integrate into the surrounding natural scenery. The roof adopts dark gray cement tiles with rough grooves, imitating the traces of rain. The slightly overhanging eaves are only realized through the civil structure, without any decorative components, which reduces the construction cost. For the rammed earth wall method, after comparing the effects, durability, construction difficulty, and economy, the rammed earth coating was finally selected. In order to balance the natural texture and the controllability of construction, the designer provided multiple versions of wall drawings to control the size, and confirmed the final texture through multiple wall comparisons. In addition, the project also selected modern and exquisite materials such as high-transparent glass and metal, embedded in simple volumes, making the building lighter and clumsy.
