#2024TravelReview Hongcun is located in Yi County in southern Anhui Province and is listed as a World Cultural Heritage. The ancient Huizhou people used their architectural wisdom to develop an ancient ox-shaped water system village. Its characteristic is that the river water was introduced into the village and a winding canal was dug. In addition to providing water for the villagers, the canal also regulates the temperature and beautifies the village. Environmental effects. The plan of the canal adopts a bionic "cow" shape. Leigang Mountain is the head of the ox, the two old trees at the entrance of the village are the horns, Yuezhao is the heart of the ox, Nanhu is the stomach of the ox, the winding canal is the intestines of the ox, the residential buildings are the body of the ox, and the four old bridges are the feet of the ox. The three famous carvings of the Hui style - brick carving, stone carving and wood carving - are all very delicate, but some wood carvings were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution and the faces of the characters were damaged. I am interested in the "Nanhu Academy" with the Enlightenment Pavilion and Zhidao Hall, and the "Chengzhi Hall" where the big salt merchant Wang Dinggui lived. The "Tunyunxuan" is a place for playing mahjong, and the "Paishan Pavilion" is a place for playing mahjong. Tunyunxuan has such an elegant name.
