Living in the Ink Painting of Huizhou｜Daiqingfang Ancient Style Homestay in Hongcun

Traveling to Hongcun in Huangshan, you must stay in this ink-painted Hongcun to truly experience Huizhou culture. This time, I stayed at the Daiqingfang Ancient Style Homestay in Hongcun, located by the South Lake within the Hongcun Scenic Area, about a 2-3 minute walk from the main entrance of the scenic area. Their house is over 200 years old, and as soon as you enter, you are greeted by a strong sense of history. The rooms are decorated in an ancient style, clean and tidy. The exterior of the room decorations is rustic, but the interior is elegant and grand, with all modern facilities fully equipped. The old house is very large, and the homestay offers free Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) for photos. Wearing beautiful Hanfu in such an ancient environment gives you a feeling of traveling back in time. However, the characteristics of Huizhou architecture, such as the high horse-head walls and the courtyard's skylight, along with the strong sense of history in the old house, can be a bit scary if you're alone at night, hahaha. It's best to travel with companions.
