Trip Moments: Yermakovsky District, Russia Dates: 15–19 January 2025 I spent a few unforgettable days in the Yermakovsky District near Abakan, Russia—and it was like stepping into a winter fairytale. The snow was incredible—piled up taller than me (and I’m 160cm!), making the entire landscape feel like a soft, white wonderland. Every morning, I woke up to peaceful silence, broken only by the crunch of snow under boots and the occasional howl of cold wind through the trees. The snow-covered roofs, frosted forests, and remote serenity gave the place a kind of wild beauty that felt completely untouched. It wasn’t just a trip—it was an experience of deep winter in all its raw, magical form.
