Yangzhou | A Two-Day Trip to the江南 Region in March

As the poem goes, "煙花三月下揚州" (Misty rain in March down Yangzhou). It's March again, and I've come to Yangzhou for a two-day trip to enjoy the spring. I'd like to share my itinerary with you, hoping it will be helpful. Day 1: Siwang Pavilion/Wenchang Pavilion—Ge Garden—Dongguan Street—Zhu Ziqing's Former Residence—Pishi Street—He Garden—Grand Canal Museum Day 2: Quyuan Teahouse—Slender West Lake (Diaoyutai—White Pagoda—Five-Pavilion Bridge—Lakeside Plum Garden—Twenty-Four Bridges—Bonsai Museum)—Daming Temple/Guanyin Mountain The two-day route is mainly on foot. I recommend buying a two-day pass for Ge Garden/He Garden/Slender West Lake/Daming Temple. The Grand Canal Museum requires advance booking. If you want to have morning tea at Quyuan Teahouse, you must get up early to get a number. After the meal, you can enter Slender West Lake from the south gate. Now is the time when the magnolia flowers are in bloom in He Garden and the plum blossoms are in bloom in Slender West Lake. With the warm weather and clear skies, it is the perfect time to visit. Given the considerable amount of walking involved over the two days, it's important to prioritize rest and relaxation in the evenings. This time, I stayed at the Inheritors Slender West Lake Hot Spring Resort. The hotel is located by Slender West Lake, built alongside a stream, and facing the Yangzhou Bonsai Museum. The hotel is mainly divided into three sections. Guests can enjoy afternoon tea in the tea area facing the Daming Temple Pagoda and Slender West Lake, swim in the open-air swimming pool behind the lobby area or dine in the restaurant next to it, and soak in several different hot spring pools behind the guest room area to dispel the cold and relieve fatigue. I stayed in the hotel's Quiet Enjoyment Hot Spring King Room. The room offers a private indoor hot spring bath, a separate bathroom and shower area, a rain shower, and a smart toilet. The minibar provides a complete set of teaware and complimentary custom tea. The long table serves both as a work desk and a tea table. The soft light from the square lamp is very comfortable. The king-size bed has a footstool and offers a choice of soft and firm pillows. The mattress is sufficiently soft, and once you lie down, you won't want to get up again. After enjoying afternoon tea by the lake, strolling around the garden, and soaking in the hotel's hot springs, the fatigue from traveling was completely relieved. Also, the hotel's room cards are quite nice, with a stylish design.
