Distant mountains like dark eyebrows, nearby waters misty, bamboo rafts drifting, and cormorants standing still, as if time slows down here. This is where I stayed during my Yangshuo trip—the Yuepan St. Garden Resort Hotel (Yangshuo Lijiang Branch). The hotel's design is unique, perfectly blending the simplicity of northern Guizhou folk houses with the minimalism of modern architecture. With its blue bricks, gray tiles, and wooden structure, it seems to grow naturally from this land. The high ceiling design of the lobby makes the space transparent and bright, and the huge floor-to-ceiling windows offer a panoramic view of the Lijiang River. Bamboo weaving, batik and other elements that can be seen everywhere add a touch of ethnic customs to the hotel. I stayed in a river-view king room, which was spacious and bright. The original wood-colored furniture is matched with elegant fabrics to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. What surprised me the most was the huge viewing balcony. In the morning, you can watch the sunrise over the Lijiang River, in the evening you can enjoy the fishing boats singing in the evening, and at night you can fall asleep with the stars. The room is fully equipped with smart toilets, mini bars, Bluetooth speakers, etc., and the details show the quality. The hotel's restaurant is also impressive. Breakfast is in the form of a buffet, combining Chinese and Western styles, with a rich variety. I especially recommend the local Guilin rice noodles, the soup is fresh and the noodles are smooth, making people want more. For dinner, you can choose to dine in the hotel restaurant, or go to nearby farmhouses to taste authentic Lijiang flavors. Beer fish, stuffed snails, bamboo rice... every dish is mouth-watering. The hotel is also equipped with a gym, swimming pool, book bar and other facilities to provide guests with a wealth of leisure options. My favorite is the hotel's outdoor swimming pool, where you can swim and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Lijiang River, as if you are in a landscape painting. In addition, the hotel also provides bicycle rental services, so you can cycle and explore the surrounding rural scenery. The hotel is located in the Yangshuo Shili Gallery Scenic Area, surrounded by many attractions. You can walk to the Lijiang River and take a bamboo raft to feel the artistic conception of "traveling on the green waves, people traveling in the painting". You can also cycle to Moon Hill, Big Banyan Tree, Butterfly Spring and other attractions to appreciate the unique karst landform of Yangshuo.
