Shwedagon Pagoda

Shwedagon Pagoda is located in the heart of Yangon. You can see the pagoda from afar. It is believed that it contains 8 strands of the hair of Lord Buddha. The top of the pagoda is decorated with glass balls and various gems, as well as 5,448 diamonds, including a large 76-carat diamond to catch the first and last rays of the sun. The pagoda is over 2,500 years old and has been renovated all along. It is 131 feet high. Around the base of the pagoda are surrounding pagodas, beautiful Burmese art. #Waiting for the day to travel
