Water Street is the homesickness of Yancheng people and carries the trajectory of Haiyan’s history and development changes. Its original site was at the west gate of ancient Yancheng. It was built beside the water and the street was built along the water, so it was called "Water Street". Today, Yanzhen Water Street has become a bright business card of Yancheng with its quaint folk customs full of Yancheng characteristics. Walking among the blue bricks and black tiles of Yanzhen Water Street with unique Ming and Qing style, a sense of ancient charm hits you in the face. The arched bridge holes, the clear river water, the weeping willows dancing in the wind by the river, and the uniquely shaped boats form a beautiful picture of the water town, which makes people feel poetic unconsciously. For Yanzhen Water Street, the bridge is not only the link where water and land meet, but also the main transportation route for life in the water street and the fulcrum of the water street scenery.
