A bit of a 'hidden gem' in Kyoto that many people often miss out. It can be difficult to get tickets since you need to book online and it seems to be a lottery system, but if you can get tickets it's well worth a visit. The star of the show is the gardens though, which were much bigger than I expected and very pretty The walk is great and the scenery -breathtakingly beautiful. The red leaves have just started a little now, so by November must be amazing.
