As soon as you enter the store, the staff will guide you kindly. The decoration and atmosphere of the store are very Japanese style, simple and generous, with red lanterns, Japanese landscape paintings, a variety of Japanese sake and other decorations. It is a great place to relax and chat with friends after get off work or on weekends. Of course, the most important thing is the food in the store. We ordered many skewers and dishes, and each one was delicious. The boneless beef skewers and beef skewers were perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, the marinated pork skewers were chewy and delicious, and the classic izakaya dish of mentaiko and chicken skewers was ranked top 1 on my list of the day. Each skewer was grilled to perfection by the chef and melted in your mouth. It was heaven with a bite of skewer and a sip of wine. In addition to skewers, the restaurant also offers many other dishes, such as the miso soup that you can never go wrong with. And the wine-cooked clam soup, a must-order for clam soup lovers! The clams were big and plump, and the portion was surprisingly generous. Paired with the rich aroma of the wine, I finished the entire bowl by myself. For vegetables, we ordered mushrooms, green peppers, etc. Although they are vegetables, the store owner did not take them lightly and grilled them until just a little bit of water came out. It is perfect for eating them to relieve the greasiness when you have eaten too much meat. There are a wide variety of drinks here. I ordered Umenoyado's yuzu wine. In addition, the store also provides beer, sake, sparkling drinks, highball, Calpis and other non-alcoholic drinks, and the prices are really affordable. A large glass of Calpis only costs 45 yuan. I can't help but wonder if the store really makes money? The most amazing thing is the raw food they provide. We ordered six pieces of mixed sushi, including salmon, shrimp, scallops, etc. Each piece was very fresh and delicious. There are also various other hand rolls and sashimi rice bowls. The asparagus and shrimp hand roll is especially recommended. The shrimp is paired with crisp asparagus and wrapped in nori, which is a perfect match. It doesn't matter if you don't eat sashimi, the store also provides yakiniku rice bowl, which has about 10 slices of meat, and comes with tamagoyaki, kimchi, and vegetables. Who says you won't be full at an izakaya? Aoya is definitely a conscientious store that is afraid that its customers will go hungry. Finally, we had Japanese baked mochi as dessert. The mochi was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The hot mochi was paired with peanuts and condensed milk. As an after-meal dessert, one bite of it made our life complete. Despite the booming business, the service at Aoya Izakaya is very attentive. The waiters are always smiling and proactively introduce the characteristics and recommendations of various dishes, which is a plus. Overall, we had a very pleasant dining experience at Aya Izakaya. The food, drinks and service provided by the restaurant were all excellent and made us feel like we were in Japan.
