I spent four days in Kanas

After going to Kanas, I only had a preliminary exploration of Altay on this trip to Northern Xinjiang, thinking about coming back to ski later, and planning to leave more time for the grasslands of Yili. Before setting off, I also worried whether it would be 'too green' like Yili? But my worries were unnecessary. This is the place where I had the best experience during my trip to Northern Xinjiang, and Kanas is worth visiting in all four seasons~ 🎈Itinerary: 🚄Take the night train from Urumqi, arrive at Beitun at 6:30 the next morning. Arrange a driver in advance to pick us up, and reach Kanas at 11 o'clock (200 per person). We went straight to Baihaba to rest~ 🏡Stay in Baihaba (the first village in the northwest) on the first day 🏨Stay in Jiadengyu on the second day ⭕️Originally planned to stay in Kanas New Village on the first and second days, but due to a friend coming from another place, there were too many uncertainties, and I didn't dare to book a room many days in advance, so when she arrived in Urumqi to book a room, the price of accommodations in Kanas skyrocketed to an unbearable level for us, so we stayed in Baihaba and Jiadengyu respectively. ⭕️First, let me explain the relationship between Jiadengyu, Kanas, and Baihaba. Jiadengyu, Baihaba, and Hemu all belong to the Kanas scenic area. ⭕️Tourists basically first go to Jiadengyu to buy tickets to enter the Kanas scenic area, so staying in Jiadengyu is like staying outside the scenic area (naturally, the price is lower), and both Kanas New Village and Baihaba are accommodations within the scenic area. ⭕️I personally highly recommend staying inside the scenic area, so the itinerary is not too rushed. Although Kanas has a two-entry ticket, staying in the village is convenient for idling around and wandering leisurely, which is really nice! The weather in Kanas is changeable, sunny at times and rainy at others, and the weather changes at least three times a day. Staying for a few more days always brings good weather! 🌤⛈🌦☀️In Kanas, where a plate of shredded potatoes sells for 40, the homestay owner treated us very well. The leftovers from the day before were heated up the next morning as a side dish for porridge, and they also gave us eggs, cold shredded potatoes, and pancakes. Before we left, they gave us some more pancakes, saying, 'It's easy to get hungry when you're out playing, so pack more dry food.' ⭕️The main attractions in Kanas are: 1. Guanyu Pavilion (must-visit) 2. Hiking through the Three Bays (must-visit) 3. Kanas New Village 4. Baihaba Village, etc. 🏡Stay in Hemu on the third day (There are two shuttle buses from Kanas to Hemu every day, 40 per person, or you can find a driver to take you there for 100 per person) ⭕️As said online, the scenery in Hemu is indeed similar to Kanas, and not as good as Kanas, so why is Hemu worth visiting? You can try to find the differences. I personally like the more colorful aspect here. ⭕️No matter what the destination is, as long as it's a place you've never been to, it's always worth taking a trip. There will always be different surprises. I remember that day in Hemu, it was drizzling at 5:30 in the morning, but gradually the sun came out, and I saw the sunrise. At 1 pm just as I went out for lunch, it started raining again, and snow began to fall on the distant mountains. I was worried that it would affect my trip, but after the time it took to eat, the clouds dispersed, and the sun came out again. 🚗On the fourth day in the afternoon, go from Hemu to Beitun (150 per person) and take the train to Kuitun to start the trip to Yili.
