I always thought those popular tourist destinations were stunning enough, until I stepped into Xingyi and realized I had found a true earthly treasure✨. After returning from Xingyi, my mind was filled with its beautiful scenery, and my heart was full of reluctance to leave😭. I really regret not coming earlier to this small city located at the junction of Yunnan, Guangxi, and Guizhou provinces! Here, there are no crowded crowds, allowing you to fully enjoy a leisurely trip; the variety of delicious food is dazzling, with every bite hitting your taste buds; fun places come one after another, and the joy never stops! This place hides the magnificent canyon known as "the most beautiful scar on Earth," as well as the "most beautiful peak forest in China," praised even by Xu Xiake. You can immerse yourself in the lively Buyi ethnic market and check in at a fairy-tale-like castle in the middle of a lake. The rice fields sway with the wind, the peak forest stretches endlessly, the canyon is deep and mysterious, the waterfall is majestic, the lake ripples with clear waves, the ancient village is quiet and peaceful, and the castle is dreamy and beautiful. Xingyi fulfills all my fantasies of a romantic trip! 【How to Get There】 🚌 You can take a high-speed train directly to Xingyi Station; if departing from Guiyang, a bus ride of about 4 hours will also get you there. ✈️ Some cities have direct flights to Xingyi. If there is no suitable direct flight, transferring through Guiyang is also very convenient. 【3 Days 2 Nights Itinerary】 Day 1: Arrive in Xingyi, check in near Wanfenglin, and feel the peaceful atmosphere around. Day 2: Head to Jilong Fort for photos, then visit Wanfeng Lake, and in the evening, experience the unique charm of the Buyi ethnic group in the peak forest. Day 3: Check out the special attractions around Xiaomin Convenience Store, and finally visit Malin River Grand Canyon to appreciate nature’s masterpiece. 1️⃣ Wanfenglin Wanfenglin is definitely worth spending a whole day exploring slowly! Every shot looks like a blockbuster! 3️⃣ Wanfeng Lake Wanfeng Lake is near Jilong Fort. Whether you take a boat to enjoy the scenery on both sides or find a quiet spot to camp and fish, it’s very pleasant. The local lake delicacies are exceptional, especially the fish from Wanfeng Lake, which is tender and delicious—you must try it! 4️⃣ Peak Forest Buyi Village The Peak Forest Buyi Village is peaceful and quiet in the early morning, with almost no tourists, making it perfect for those who enjoy a tranquil visit. The villagers are warm and hospitable, and prices are affordable. At night, the brilliant light show illuminates the ancient village, creating a lively scene. 5️⃣ Xiaomin Convenience Store Around the convenience store hides Xingyi’s version of “Howl’s Moving Castle.” The fantastic architectural shapes combined with the surrounding scenery make every photo super photogenic, guaranteed to blow up your social media in no time! 6️⃣ Malin River Grand Canyon During summer, college students can enter for free with a student ID! It’s recommended to take the 70-meter-high sightseeing elevator down to the canyon bottom, saving a lot of energy and time. Hiking at the bottom of the cliff canyon, you can feel the power of nature. Be sure to visit the "Galloping Horses" waterfall, where the water cascades down with grandeur, making you feel like you’re in a fairyland. 📌 Tips 1️⃣ The market day in the small town near Wanfenglin is full of local life vibes! Highly recommend trying the potato pancakes loaded with houttuynia—its unique flavor is unforgettable. 2️⃣ In the early days of your trip, you can choose to stay near Wanfenglin for convenient travel; on the last day, consider staying in the city to try the local sour soup beef, where the rich sour soup pairs perfectly with tender beef, offering great value! 3️⃣ If traveling during National Day or winter/summer holidays, you can first enjoy the food in Guiyang, then stay a few days in Xingyi to enjoy a leisurely vacation and fully relax your body and mind~
