Zhedong Zhangjiajie, Shaoxing Nineteen Peaks

Poetic and Picturesque Zhejiang Cultural Tourism Card Station 8️⃣: Shaoxing Xinchang Nineteen Peaks Scenic Area Visit Date: November 17, 2025 Weather: Light Rain🌧 Self-driving🚗, 📍Navigation: Nineteen Peaks Scenic Area - East Gate Ground Parking Lot, parking fee 10 per visit 🏨Accommodation: Xinchang Mengyuan Mountain Villa Homestay (located in Yazhuang Village under Nineteen Peaks, pet-friendly mountain view homestay), the owners are an elderly couple who have a countryside dog named Xiaobai, very kind people and friendly dog❣️ The homestay is 12 km from Xiayanbei Village, where Zhejiang TV filmed a program. Early in the morning, I drove into the village, planning to overlook the full view of Nineteen Peaks and Hanfei River from the 270-degree viewing platform. Unexpectedly, the fields along the way were burning straw, causing excessive particulate emissions and very poor visibility. Apart from thick fog, nothing could be seen. The village is 11 km from Nineteen Peaks Scenic Area. Nineteen Peaks is a comprehensive tourist destination. The core scenic area consists of 1️⃣ Chuanyan Nineteen Peaks 2️⃣ Feilong Plank Road 3️⃣ Qianzhang Valley. Additionally, there are 4️⃣ a small train🚆 (ticket price 30, 5.6 km circular track connecting multiple scenic spots along the way), 5️⃣ Chongyang Palace (a free Taoist temple and filming location for several TV dramas), 6️⃣ Huba Huba Exploration Planet (outdoor adventure camp), and 7️⃣ Classic of Mountains and Seas Heroic Road (immersive light and shadow night tour theme park). Due to the weather, it rained throughout the trip. I only visited Chuanyan Nineteen Peaks, known as the "Zhedong Zhangjiajie." The mountain scenery is indeed impressive. From the parking lot, you can see the nineteen continuous and staggered peaks lined up side by side from afar (photo 16). Despite the terrible weather💩, hazy visibility, messy mountain paths, damp clothes, and being in a sorry state, with strong winds on the summit that even broke my umbrella, and all kinds of challenges stacked up, the scenery was quite good. The mountain range stretches with a faint traditional Chinese painting vibe, combining the wonder of Yandang Mountains (photo 7) and the elegance of Li River landscapes (photo 15). The altitude is 378m. After reaching the highest point, I returned the same way, with a total duration of 3 hours.
