Hulunbuir Travel Guide, 6 Days 5 Nights Family Tour Strategy

A family tour with two adults and two kids, we played in Hulunbuir for 6 days and 5 nights. We chose a 🚗 chartered car tour, so we wouldn't take any wrong turns, otherwise it would be really tiring, so I don't recommend self-driving, I was so tired that I slept for a whole day when I got back home. The most important thing is that this place is too big! There are many small roads that are not on the navigation at all, our driver also acted as a tour guide and photographer, all the beautiful photos were taken by him, including drone shots. You can see flocks of sheep, big 🐴, and dairy cows 🐮 everywhere on the grassland! The leader took us through the Greater Khingan Range, it was thrilling and exciting, and the scenery at Eagle's Mouth was super beautiful! The kids had the most fun on the fourth day, visiting a herdsman's house, feeding lambs, milking cows, go-karting, and horse riding up the mountain to watch the sunset! The grass slide at 186 Color Ribbon River with a kilometer-long track was a great experience! The 'Dance of the Horse' performance was spectacular. Worth watching! 🍻 The food was all special, Mongolian meals, Russian meals, roasted lamb chops! All pretty delicious! I recommend the iron pot stewed noodles, and the Lubli in Manzhouli! The iron pot stew barbecue is not as good as in Harbin 😄 The accommodations were also quite good, clean and hygienic, but the living conditions in the cities were a bit better, and it was a bit colder in the forest areas 😅 Below is my itinerary. You can refer to it: Day1: Hailar—Morin Dawa (The First Bend of the World) crossing the heartland of the grassland—Cliff—Erguna Wetland—Stay overnight in Erguna Day2: Erguna—Enhe Russian Ethnic Township—Moerdaoga National Forest Park (the little train is not recommended) - Xing'an Reindeer Park (changed to another one on the way, also very good) —Longyan Mountain to watch the sunset (went a bit early, didn't see the 🌅 but I saw a 🌈, the scenery was also absolutely beautiful) —Stay overnight in Moerdaoga Day3: Birch Forest Scenic Area—Taiping Village—Eagle's Mouth—Stay overnight in Shiwei (one of China's top ten charming towns) Day4: Border Highway—Jiuka—Go-karting off-road—Herdsman's house (milking cows, feeding lambs, wearing Mongolian costumes) —Horse riding—Stay overnight in a starry sky Mongolian yurt on the grassland at Heishantou (book in advance) Day5: Border Highway—186 Grass Sliding—Dance of the Horse—National Gate—Night tour of Manzhouli—Stay overnight in Manzhouli. Day6: Matryoshka Square—Hulun Lake—Return to Hailar I must praise the leader, the driving was very steady, and there was no motion sickness throughout the journey!
