Xiapu Sansha Town

Sansha Town is located in the northeast of Xiapu County, facing the sea to the east. Take the Sansha exit of the Shenhai Expressway and take County Road 981 for about 40 minutes to arrive. Sansha was originally a fishing port town, but now it has fully explored and developed the marine tourism economy, and the town's hotels, homestays, restaurants and travel are thriving. During the winter off-season, there are still many self-driving and elderly groups traveling for sightseeing. Huazhu, known as China’s sunrise-viewing landmark (Figures 1-2), is only about fifteen minutes’ drive from Sansha Town. Unfortunately, the weather was not good, with thick clouds covering the sky, and we were unable to see the rising sun. The Light and Shadow Plank Road (Figures 4-6) is said to be four or five kilometers long. It is particularly unique under the light of the sunset, but unfortunately it was cloudy when I first stepped in, and the light only shone through the gaps in the clouds when I walked out. But the scattered fishing boats and kelp farming rows anchored in the sea are quite distinctive. Dongbi (Figures 7-8) is the best spot to watch the sunset. During peak hours, many people take photos of the Dongbi Bridge, and it is even harder to find a room in a homestay facing the sea. There is also a treasure trove of Liuyun Temple (Figures 9-19) near Sansha Town. The temple gate is inconspicuous, facing the sea and built along the cliff. Many statues and stone carvings Lifelike, facing the sea, praying for the fishing boats to return safely and with a full load. There is also Xiaohao Beach (Figure 20), which is flooded by high tide. However, the homestay business in Xiaohao Village by the sea is thriving.
