Sawu Snow Mountain is back! Successfully reached the summit! 2-day itinerary

Just got back from Sawu Snow Mountain. To be honest, I was quite nervous before setting off because I'm a beginner 🥲! But after conquering my first snow mountain, I was really excited 🤩 and happy 🥳! But I have to say, ⚠️ hiking is not just about having legs, it must be done with the help of a professional guide ✅. - 🩵 My 2-day itinerary: ⛰️ Sawu Snow Mountain has three routes: Sawu New Route, Sawu Main Peak, and Sawu Summit. I chose the Sawu New Route this time, which is very suitable for beginners. 1️⃣ DAY 1: On the first day, we gathered at 11:30 am at Tianhe Road Station on Chengdu Metro 🚇 Line 2, and took a car 🚗 with my teammates for about 6 hours to reach the homestay 🏨 where we stayed overnight. The guide not only arranged a welcome ceremony with khata scarves for us 👏, but also yak meat hot pot, which was super delicious 😋! If the meat is not enough, you can add more for free! It was really good~ After dinner, we had a pre-trip briefing. 2️⃣ DAY 2: On the second day, we set off at ⏰ 3:30 am after breakfast at the homestay, and took a car for about 40 minutes to reach the base camp (altitude 4100m), then climbed for 5 hours to reach the pass at 4900m. If you still have enough energy ✊, you can continue to climb up. I was still okay at that time, so I went straight to the real summit at 5060m, where there was even a network signal 😲! I even video-called my sister. The guide took photos 📷 for me, and after wearing the medal 🥇, we returned to Chengdu~ - ⚠️ Some of my tips: ❣️ It's easy to sweat during the climb, so I personally suggest holding thick clothes first and not wearing them temporarily. Put them on when it gets cold later, otherwise, it's easy to catch a cold when you take off clothes after sweating. The wind at the top of the mountain is also strong, so it's not suitable to stay for a long time. ❣️ A thermos is really necessary. You can fill it with some glucose water and drink some to restore energy when it's cold. ❣️ The climbing process is actually not difficult, but it's mainly cold, and your feet can easily get cold and stiff. You can wear an extra pair of wool socks. ❣️ Bring a power bank, as the phone battery drains really fast on the snow mountain!! - ⚠️ About the club and guide: When choosing a club, you must be careful 👀 and choose a legitimate and qualified one. Especially those with ridiculously low prices, there must be a problem. Either they provide you with an unlicensed guide, or they water down your itinerary 🤬. In short, don't blindly pursue cheap prices and lose safety and experience!!
