📍About car rental We picked up the car from Chengdu Tianfu Airport, choosing a Volkswagen SUV. It has a high chassis, spacious interior, easy to handle, and very fuel-efficient. For long-distance car rentals, it is recommended to test drive first and check the car's condition, which is very necessary! 📍About driving experience Both of us have about 6 years of driving experience, so basic road conditions are not a problem. However, this was our first time driving on mountain roads. Initially, we were indeed scared, but we got used to it by driving slowly, observing more, and looking around. The person in the passenger seat was also constantly checking the road conditions and observing the oncoming traffic. We cooperated very well and the journey was smooth. 📍Route 1️⃣ Chengdu Tianfu Airport - Siguniang Mountain To avoid traffic, we set off at 4 a.m. The ring expressway was very smooth, and we started encountering large trucks on the Du-Wen Expressway, but they did not affect the small car lanes. Panda Avenue was very exciting, with all mountain roads and sharp turns. The speed was basically 40-60 km/h, and driving slowly was not a problem. The scenery along the way was beautiful! 2️⃣ Siguniang Mountain - Moxi Park - Balang Shengdu - Tagong Town We continued on Panda Avenue. The mountain roads were not continuously winding, making it relatively easy to drive. The scenery of mountains, rivers, and diverse vegetation was stunning, making it feel like driving into a geological park. We were constantly amazed and did not feel any driving fatigue. On the way to Balang Shengdu, we passed through villages. Some roads were narrow, so be careful when passing other vehicles. It was drizzling on the day we went, so the latter part of the road was muddy and bumpy. We drove all the way to the parking lot at the foot of the mountain. 3️⃣ Tagong Town - Jiangba Ranch - Sidingcuo - Mugecuo - Chengdu Tianfu The road from Tagong Town to Jiangba Ranch was sunny. It felt like the wind was blowing through the grass, revealing cattle and sheep. The road to Sidingcuo was also easy to drive. The challenging part was from the foot of Sidingcuo Mountain to the top, where the road was rocky and bumpy but very interesting! At the top, you can park your car by the cliff, and the view is stunning! Any photo taken there looks like a masterpiece! From Sidingcuo to Mugecuo, we took S434. The scenery was beautiful, and there were fewer large trucks compared to the 318. The traffic was indeed light. You can stop at the roadside stalls on the mountain roads to rest and buy a cup of coffee or lemon tea, which is a unique experience. 📍Indeed! The most beautiful scenery is on the road.
