Discover the Hidden Village of Zhejiang

I love hiking and I enjoyed my trip to the Gongyu Village in Zhejiang, China. China is ultimately beautiful and it was an unforgettable experience to explore its hard to get to places. Gongyu Village is also called a hidden village in English because it is really hard to get to. Our group took a private bus from Shanghai and it took approximately 8 hours because we made a mistake of traveling during the Golden Week (1st week of April). Upon arrival there by bus, our group had to hike with all of our belongings on our backs for 2 hours before reaching the Hidden village. When we arrived I couldn’t believe my eyes, there it was, a beautiful and authentic local Chinese village with no sign of modern civilization still standing there in the 21st century. We spent 4 days hiking the surrounding mountains and eating local authentic food cooked by the local villagers. The also supplied us beer and karaoke for the evening entertainment. The accommodation was not good at all, since it was an open room with many people sleeping on hard beds, but it was ok for a few nights. Many people chose to camp outside in tents.
