A Journey to Xianju: A Paradise on Earth

If you ask me if there is a place where immortals live, I will take you to Xianju. It is a place where clouds hide their secrets and the wind hums ethereal songs. When you first arrive at the foot of the mountain, a thin mist like a light veil lingers around your ankles, as if it were a gentle invitation from the mountain god. Looking up, the peaks are like bamboo shoots, piercing the sky, or like giants standing silently for thousands of years, guarding the unknown spirit. Climbing the winding stone steps, each step seems to knock on the door of the fairyland. The grass and trees beside you are covered with dew, sparkling like tiny stars. With a slight stretch of your hand, you can touch the gems given by heaven and earth. Halfway up the mountain, the Ruyi Bridge spans between two mountains, like a silver ribbon falling on the green valley. Stepping on it, your heart beats with the swaying, and the wind howls in your ears, as if to take your soul to a cloud party. Looking down at the canyon, the sea of clouds surges like waves, and the peaks float and sink in it, like fairy islands appearing and disappearing. In a trance, I don't know if I am a mortal visitor or a fairy child in the clouds. At the top of the mountain, the sunlight pours down, gilding everything. The pine branches stretch out, like an old man stroking his beard, calm and comfortable. In the distance, the waterfall cascades down, sounding like thunder, but shattering into mist at the bottom of the valley. This is the ink of mountains and rivers, wantonly painting the confrontation between grandeur and beauty. Standing here, the noise of the world fades away, and my body and mind are comforted by nature. I guess the immortals love this place because they are greedy for this purity and endless freedom. And I am lucky to steal half a day of life, intoxicated and lost.
