The Fairy Residence just came back! Perfect strategy + pit avoidance guide

I just came back from the Fairy Residence today! Highly recommended! May Day is likely to be packed, so if you plan to go, make sure to get there early! Recommended reasons: Although the ticket + various fees are a bit expensive, the scenery is really nice. It's great for taking photos on a clear day, and it's worth it! Navigation: Fairy Residence Scenic Area, it's recommended to drive yourself~ Scenic area charges: Admission ticket 99 (free for children under 1.2 meters and seniors over 70, half price for students and people over 60), South Summit 99 (tickets sold at the mountaintop, free for children under 1.2 meters, half price for students), cable car 120 round trip (free for children under 1.2 meters, half price for 1.2-1.5 meters, no discounts for students and seniors)~ Actual charges may vary on-site, and each charge has different discount policies~ Itinerary suggestions: 1) It is recommended to go south up and south down! The whole route is a closed loop without backtracking! It passes almost all the attractions, and the paths are mostly gentle and encircle the mountain, with a short steep descent of steps that even seniors can walk! 2) South Sky cable car, each car holds 8 people (the north cable car is larger with no seats), and it moves quickly. On holidays, the queue might be longer~ 3) Buddha's Shadow and Lotus Rhythm, turn right and down a bit at the exit of the South Sky cable car, it's the best spot in the scenic area for a photo with the Guanyin Peak, but the queue is very long. Today, when we arrived, it was already about an hour wait. If it's not a must-take photo, you might as well take a quick shot of the empty scene and move on! 4) Ruyi Bridge, a must-see, spans across two canyons. You can walk across it from above, then return via the lower glass bridge. It's less crowded below and great for taking photos. For a full panorama, you need to use a drone! 5) There are many routes in the Fairy Residence: large and small loops, south up and south down, south up and north down, etc. No matter which one, it's recommended to take the cable car both ways, because after climbing for more than 2 hours, you won't have the energy to walk around the mountaintop again (you can take any fork in the road at the mountaintop, it's just a matter of distance, and you will pass every classic spot) 6) Those who are afraid of heights are not recommended to buy tickets to the South Summit~ 7) The North Sea cable car descent is a bit of a trap, you need to buy a 10 yuan/person electric cart ticket to the entrance (free for children under 1.2 meters), the cable car is about 1.5km from the north entrance~ If you need to get back to the south entrance parking lot from the north entrance, you also need to buy a 5 yuan/person bus ticket (free for children under 1.5 meters), and it takes about 30 minutes by bus~ Note: There are many unlicensed cars at the north entrance, directly quoting 50 yuan to go to the south entrance~ 8) There are many snack bars on the mountain, as well as places to eat, with prices similar to those in general scenic areas, grilled sausages for 10 yuan, cultural ice cream for 25 yuan... Today we took the south up and north down route, which took about 3 hours in total. We didn't go to the South Summit because we brought two 70-year-olds, who are afraid of heights and didn't dare to walk outside the plank road, and were very cautious crossing various bridges. By the time we reached Ruyi Bridge, they were already a bit exhausted, so we quickly descended via the North Sea cable car~ Sincere suggestion to everyone: Go south up and south down! Going north up is just the opposite direction of going south up, and there's a very steep set of stairs to climb, which can be very tiring!
