Warm sea views and Zheng Chenggong at Houwuyuan

Houwuyuan I visited Houwuyuan on Gulangyu Island in Xiamen. Although I didn’t go inside the exhibition hall or explore the interior, I took a light stroll around the Zheng Chenggong statue, the surrounding garden, and the seaside area, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. The statue was quite large and impressive, and its stance facing Xiamen Island seemed to hold some significance. Standing on the hill, feeling the sea breeze while gazing across the sea at Xiamen Island was a relaxing experience. The area was well-maintained with trees and flowers, making it enjoyable to walk around, and the paths were clean and easy to navigate for a leisurely stroll. Despite being December, the weather was warm enough to make you feel drowsy while sitting on a bench under the sunlight. There were tourists, but it wasn’t crowded, making it a great spot to appreciate the statue and the sea views in a tranquil atmosphere. The name Houwuyuan sounds grand, but in reality, it felt more like a quiet park perfect for a peaceful walk. It’s an ideal place to take a break during your travels.
