South Putuo Temple in Xiamen, China

South Putuo Temple is a temple located in the Siming District of Xiamen, Fujian Province, China. The name originates from its location south of Mount Putuo on Zhoushan Island in Zhejiang Province. The temple covers a total area of approximately 30,000 square meters and consists of several halls and towers, including the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, the Hall of Great Compassion, and the Sutra Library. The temple is also known for its numerous rocks on the hillside behind it, among which the giant inscription of the character 'Buddha', written by a monk from the Qing Dynasty, stands out with a height of 4 meters and a width of 3 meters. 📍Location: No. 515, Siming South Road, Siming District, Xiamen, Fujian Province, China
