Xiamen: Living with island rocks and century-old banyan trees, living in a 1930 preaching hall

When we took the ferry across the bay from Xiamen, we stayed at the Humble Hall Hotel in the heart of the island. Busy people in the city can forget about work and live in seclusion here; and people like me who write and take photos for a living, even have an illusion that I can write something that will be passed down to the world. 📸【Shake Life】 The unique temperament of Hongtang is not only derived from nature and time, but also from the inspiration that designer Fang Lingjia drew from the Shake community. The Shaker community originated in the United States in the 18th century. People took root in the land and were self-sufficient. The furniture and tools they designed and made had simple and attractive lines and practical functions. The guest rooms are also equipped with the "hanging system" of the Shaker Community.
