Shengsi | Gouqi Island | Encountering a Stunning Sunset

Second visit to Gouqi Island. The last time I landed on the island was four years ago. It feels somewhat familiar but also a bit changed. The yellow house is under renovation, so I didn’t get to have coffee. On the first day, I drove from Minhang to Shenjiawan Pier, allowing forty minutes to board the boat, which was just right. The boat ride from the pier to Gouqi Island takes 2 hours. After resting in the afternoon, I walked to the Mountain and Sea Wonders, and from afar, I saw scaffolding set up around the yellow house. For the sunset, I went to Xiaoxitian, but only reached the foot of the mountain. The guide said the area above is now a military zone and not accessible, and the sunset view from the foot of the mountain is actually better. Indeed.
