The cultural relics in the Qingshan Temple Treasure Hall were all unearthed from the underground palace of the Buddhist pagoda of Qingshan Temple, a royal temple built by Empress Wu Zetian of the Tang Dynasty. In May 1985, the underground palace of the pagoda at the Qingshan Temple ruins was accidentally discovered.
