Banpo Museum in Xi'an: niche and interesting

Seeing Banpo, it must be for the human-faced fish pattern basin. After all, this mysterious pattern is indispensable in elementary and junior high school art textbooks and junior high school history textbooks. The Banpo people seem to particularly love the fish pattern, and the image of fish on pottery has also undergone a transformation from figurative to abstract. From the perspective of human thinking, the abstraction of natural things is a great progress. Only when the ability to abstract is possessed, it is possible to develop primitive characters. At present, 27 kinds of engraved symbols have been found on the pottery pieces unearthed in Banpo, and the dawn of civilization can be vaguely seen. In fact, the Banpo Site Museum itself can be regarded as a cultural relic protection unit. It was built in 1958 and is almost 70 years old. Although the building has been renovated later, it still retains the strong characteristics of the "planned economy" era. As an outstanding type of Yangshao culture, the Banpo site shows some forms of residence, marriage, farming, fishing and hunting, and primitive religion of the primitive tribes in northern China during the Neolithic Age. The Neolithic sites are relatively niche, but the space for reminiscence and imagination is larger. Compared with the unearthed cultural relics after entering the historical period, the prehistoric cultural relics seem to be a profound riddle, with a simple riddle surface and an uncertain riddle bottom, which makes future generations rack their brains. For example, these pointed-bottom pottery jars, some say they are for easy access to water, some say they are for easy sedimentation of wine and water residues, and some say they are for sacrifices, all make sense, but they are all close to the truth. And what is the truth? It is not really deduced and summarized, unless time goes back, otherwise it is all speculation. Apart from academic research, for the general public, prehistoric relics are a space where thinking can diverge without restraint.
